Its a good day
Its hard to believe that the weekend is over, it went by way too fast! This week will be a pretty quick one as well.
Last week I logged over 20 miles thanks to Amo and Basden and I did my first ever trail run thanks to Mark and Leslie Ging.
It was a good week to get back in the swing of running. I only have 117 days left until the Half-Marathon.
Tour is fast approaching and I am excited to get to Texas and see Jeff and Mindy!
Today has flown by way too fast, but seeing that today is Monday that is a good thing.
I had a really hard time keeping my in ear monitor in my ear yesterday during worship.
The Texas Rangers are in first place in the AL West!
NFL training camps have begun meaning that we are inching closer to the start of the season.
God is a good God!
I’m looking to add to my itunes collection, what do you reccomend?

Today is Tuesday!
- I’ve been home for all of four days and I’ve already mowed my grass twice. I am really regretting putting out fertilizer before I left for Barbados
- I still don’t think I have caught up on my sleep. Sometimes you don’t realize how tired you are until you get back home
- I’m looking forward to being with the Catalyst tomorrow! Its been way too long since we’ve spent time together
- Yesterday I got some info on Drama Tour for all those who are interested. Here’s the skinny…The tour is from August 4-8 in Joshua, Texas. (Joshua is near Fort Worth) We will do services on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Morning. Thursday will be our free day at Six Flags. Practices begin this weekend. We will practice Saturday 10:30am-Noon and Sunday 4:30pm-6:00pm.
- I would like to leave you with a picture of me wearing Destany’s Sunglasses on Sunday Morning!

STANDING UNDER A TARP IN THE RAIN
- This morning started with a bang as Melinda, Kathleen and I got up just after 7am to make pancakes, eggs and lunch for the construction men. We then went to the store to buy more pancake mix and some paper goods.
- The rest of the team was up by 9:15 ish for more pancakes and eggs
- Then it was off to the beach for some playtime!!!
Rockely Beach is a very nice beach with beautiful, soft sand - After beach time we had lunch and then back to the hotel to rest and get ready for the evening ministry time
- We went to St. Thomas Parish again and ministered door to door in the neighborhood inviting people to come to our outdoor service that was being held right across the street from the “rum shack”
- By the time service started in was already dark but that didn’t matter b/c as Daniel Basden led worship the Pastor’s of the church passed out glow sticks to everyone!!!

- Carlye Harris shared her testimony and a scripture tonight and Colton Cooper shared his testimony and then sang a couple of songs with the band
- Then we performed the “Healer” Human Video in someone’s front yard. I don’t ever want to hear anyone complain about inadequate staging at Fine Arts ever again. Until you’ve done a human video on a wet grass lot that is not even remotely level in the dark you have not lived

- Shortly after this picture was taken I gave a brief salvation message and led those who had assembled in the sinners prayer. I soon as I said “amen” the skies opened up and it rained harder and faster than I have seen in a long time. In the words of Pastor Rose it was a “gulley warsher.” My favorite part of the rain was when I was standing under a tarp that I was holding up with Scotty trying to keep all of the electrical equipment dry. I just love missions trips
- After we had packed all the gear we returned to the hotel, passed out packs of Ramen Noodles for everyone’s dinner and we are now calling it a night!
- We have services tomorrow at 8am and 6pm (Barbados Time) Thanks for your prayers and comments!

PICTURES OF TONIGHT’S SERVICE
- Tonight we had service at Evening Light Pentecostal Church in St. Thomas Parish here in Barbados. It was a beautiful church with wonderful people!
- They fed us really good after the service, the menu was…flying fish, tuna sandwiches, hot dogs, sweet bread, assorted peanuts and cashews, chips and drinks!
- We had a powerful move of God during the service and many people were touched by the team’s ministry.
- Aaron Moore led us in some ice-breaker games
- Scotty, Aaron, Daniel and I led worship…btw – Barbadian people really like the song “Take It All” by Hillsong
- Lizzy Basden shared a word of encouragement and a scripture
- Colton Cooper sang, “Cry out to Jesus”
- Aaron Moore shared a testimony
- Daniel Basden sang “Wholly Yours”
- The congregation really pressed in and God was faithful to His word
- Everyone is excited but tired…We will get back at it again in the morning, here are the much anticipated pictures

BARBADOS DAY #1
- Yesterday was an incredibly long day of travel and by the time we reached the Southern Heights Guest Apartments we were all very exhausted and ready for bed.
- As we left the Barbados airport heading for the apartments I whispered a prayer…”God please let them have wifi and please let it be nice.” Both of my prayers were answered! We have very nice lodging in a quiet residential neighborhood that is very safe and friendly and we have high speed internet as well!
- The team is doing great! We slept in a bit this morning and then gathered for breakfast and team meeting and now we are about to head to the grocery store to get some extra food items we will need for the week. The construction team just left to go scout out the job site and get an idea of what needs to be done and what supplies are needed.
- Our first service is tonight around 7pm. Barbados does not observe Daylight Savings Time so we are only 1 hour ahead of everyone back home. Be praying for us during the service time tonight! We are conducting a youth rally and it should be a great service.
- It has been raining for the last two hours at least and it is supposed to let up soon and I hope it does so that we can go sneak a peek at the beach and the surrounding areas.
- I got to Skype Robyn and the kids this morning and that really makes everything better! Skype is very cool
- I should have another update by the end of the day today. I’ll try to get some pics up from our service tonight

- It has been a great day

Quite the adventure
- Yesterday the “undisclosed location” that I traveled to was Turner Falls Youth camp in Davis, Oklahoma along with my dear friend Jerrod Murr.
- While at camp I surprised the super intern, Cousin Sarah…
She was not stressed, she just looked that way! - I also got to see my favorite DYD, Doug Everaard. He invited me to take a trip with him to the WalMart in Sulphur, Oklahoma
- We purchased a full pallet of water and had it loaded by forklift into the back of his truck
- This is what the water looked like after DYDoug turned the corner onto the highway headed back to camp…

- Our first task was to move all of the water to the shoulder of the road.
- Just FYI the Oklahoma Highway Patrol will shut down a road for you if you spill like 100 cases of water on the road
This is DYDOUG smiling while loading the water into his truck. He didn’t find it funny at first but by this point he was laughing about it - While we were loading the water into the truck a very nice young man pulled up and helped us load water. Then a “Spring House Water” truck pulled up and proceeded to try and sell water to DYDoug
The guy on the right was helping us, the guy on the left was trying to sell us water - It was a great day and many memories were made. I had a great time hanging out with Murr and we had some great conversations as together we solved the world’s problems.
- Today is a great day! Catalyst kids are coming in around 1pm for lunch then we have much to accomplish before tonight’s service with the Drama Tour group from Discovery Church in Oklahoma City!
- Free nachos in service tonight! It will be big time I know that!
- Before 1pm I must memorize my verse for the week (Romans 12:1-5)
- The absolute best part of today is the fact that today Robyn and I celebrate 9 years of marriage or as I like to say, the best nine years of my life!
